Is it possible to load a non-DIRAC filter (FIR/convolution) to the 22A?

I think it's possible to load the OpenDRC firmware onto the DDRC-22A and load FIR filters that way. However, it's an expensive way to get an OpenDRC-22A. If you were going to do that, best to check with miniDSP support first.

As correctly mentioned by John, from the point on you are looking to build your own FIR/IIR filter, it's an OpenDRC.
Its indeed possible to downgrade a DDRC-22A to an OpenDRC by loading the firmware and using the plugin fo the OpenDRC2x2. You won't have access to Dirac under that configuration though.
