I have now installed my new 22A along with the software, including the mic calibration.
Everything works as intended, the config software sees the box, and I have wound up the master vol to 0
using my Apple remote.
The xlr feeds directly to the amps, and the dsp software sees the box as well.
I can configure the mic and then move onto the test signals.
If I clap, the mic level moves on screen, but even at full output volume I have no signal to the amps.
At this stage I have not connected the pre - out to the 22A, as I am upgrading the powersupply.
Is this the issue ?
Does the 22A need to " see " an input connection, even though its not used during the testing phase connected to the laptop.

Not having the 22's input not connected isnt the issue.
I now have this plugged in.
I simply cannot find any reason to have no test signal, as the software is " working " and I have the master vol set at max, with
0 in the window, and the mute is OFF..
There is a direct connection to the amp inputs.
I have tried to input the 22 to the preamp at full vol everywhere, still no test signal.
As I said the mic is working during the test phase, as I can see the bar move when I make any sound.
Getting desperate now.

Um, don't set volume to full if there is no signal, that is really asking for it if you suddenly press a button somewhere that enables audio.

Did you follow the instructions in the manual (sorry but I have to ask as it was not clear from your description) - press the TEST button for a channel, then gradually increase the output level?

If so, did you work through the steps in the Troubleshooting section of the manual?

I have the master vol on the 22 set to full, but the individual channels are set low in the software initially.
Yes i press the test radar button and this changes to on for that channel, then i slowly move the level upward.
Nothing.
The troubleshooting section only states the obvious, but i have no other volume or mutes in the analogue signal chain
that could be affecting the output level into the amps.

How do you feed your signal to it?
Maybe a sound card setting?

This is an analogue system.
The computer is connected with the supplied USB as is the mic.
The 22A connects directly to the amps via XLR.
Having the PreAmp plugged into the 22A input is pointless as it does nothing in the testing mode.
But I have tried a series connection ie from the 22A into the PreAmp Aux in via XLR ( its a BAT VS32SE )
then from the BAT to the amps as normal via XLR.
No signal.

(I have the DI)
I think you still have to feed it from the computer though (pre amp or not)
no signal through the usb, only dsp control.

I am feeding it from the computer - via the usb connection.
The computer sees the 22A as I can connect to it and use the config program.
I have tried a reset using the config software and it does so - saying the board has been " synchronized ".
Then I set the master vol to 0, and can do this via the Apple remote or simply typing on the screen.
Next I shut off the config program as the manual says to do.
If I then open the DSP software - again the computer sees the 22A and I can enter the mic config and it loads the compensation
file.
Then if i " proceed " to the test function, and press the test channel 1 button nothing happens - even at full volume.
But I have just noticed - if I then close the DSP software and go back to the config software, and connect, it now says the Master Vol
is -47dB,even though I changed nothing.
I tried running the test routine, then hitting the volume up on the remote - still nothing.

I understand but you’re not feeding any audio signal here, just « control » signal to the dsp for volume, presets etc
Page 7 of the manual. You need to plug your laptop to your preamp to get close as the final chain.

WHAT - how the hell do I get a USB into my preamp from the computer.
This is an analogue setup, the 22A goes between the Preamp and the Power Amps as per page 7.
The test signal is fed from the laptop via usb to the 22A - then to the amps via XLR.

Hard to keep calm with you...
No audio signal through this USB, that’s it.
It has nothing to do with Analog or digital, before or after preamp.
You need to find a way to feed from the computer, with a jack to xlr for ex.

OK, so I am now calm as.
But please show me any reference anywhere in any manual that mentions using any output
from the laptop computer other than the direct usb ( like a stereo headphone jack - as you are suggesting ).
I have reread the manual a dozen times, surely if a mini phone to XLR adapter cable was needed it would have been supplied
and shown as the analogue connection between the 22A and the computer in the manual.
As far as I can tell this is completely counter intuitive and not referred to once in the paperwork.

Hmm.... Unless something has changed, the stereo version of DLCT doesn't have individual channel level controls. (Pg 21 of manual) Are you sure you are using the right version of the DLCT software? (i.e. not the multichannel version)

Can you post screenshot of your Sound System tab?

You’re right it’s not super clear in the manual, and so it might be something else.

Yes I have the DDRC-22 software installed.
As I say both programs work - and can see the 22A with all functionality - except for the test tones.
Page 21 states you click on each channel in turn to accomplish the L & R speaker tone tests.
