TOPIC:

I attempted to update the Firmware on my C-DSP 8x12 DL OLED Remote and now have a dead OLED Remote. I downloaded and extracted the Firmware update and started the update process but the dialog showed a failure to update message so I closed the update program and now the blue light comes on inside the OLED Remote but nothing on the screen. I re-attempted to update the Remote but nothing.

Anyone ever run into this problem or could offer a solution?

Okay, I now know that I used the wrong technique to update my OLED Remote, instead of writing the update file to a SD card and inserting it into the DSP I went into update mode and clicked on the update file on my PC screen which caused my current problem.

I submitted a support ticked but also wondering if anyone here might have advice?

is there an update to this? I did the exact same thing and now i have a solid horizontal line on the OLED screen.   I really don't wanna have to submit a ticket for this. 

I reached out to miniDSP tech support and received a reply with instructions to try and solve the problem and how to create a log file to send to them but after I ran the process my 8x12DL will no longer connect to my (or any) PC. I've emailed tech support about this today and am waiting to hear back.

Did you solve the issue with your OLED display?

Hold the phone, A friend brought over her laptop and I am now able to connect to my 8x12DL so I will try the tech support process on that laptop and report back.

So after trying the miniDSP software fix to the problem I could still not get the OLED display to work, I informed Customer Service about this and to my surprise and delight miniDSP sent me a new OLED display. I received the replacement display a couple of days ago and am now enjoying my car audio system again.

miniDSP Customer Service is top notch and there are other companies that could learn a thing or two from them.

Same thing happened to me though with the Harmony so no sd card. Contacted support through email and still no response almost a week later. Who do you have to know?
