Hi,

Also having the same ticks when switching songs with Spotify. The small pause that I had before seems to be gone.

Indeed “static tics” are introduced with this update for example it happens when I change a radio channel in volumio

Just updated to latest MCU 1.62 and DSP 1.7 on my SHD Studio. I *think* it sounds more transparent and fluid now than it did before! :-) But like some others have noted, I hear a "pop" or "flup" when switching tracks, just when the track starts I think. Same behaviour on any source it seems. It doesn't always happen, maybe about 90% of the time.

Thought to have a look on my 2x4 HD with USB for possible updates. As it sits as a subwoofer-unit in analog mode it's not connected with USB usually. So, updated all firmware' software etc, installed Device Console, did all the reboots as and when needed but have an issue:

Device Console does see the 2x4 HD but truing to connect gets stuck on getting information, just sit's there.

- I can see several Device Console processes, not just one, is this normal?
- "Run as administrator" does not change things
- Win 11 with all updates
- Old app works so I know unit is ok

Ideas?

I've just done the update on Sunday and find the left and right chanel is reveresd. That means I had to swap the out1 and out2 in order to get the right sound. I tired usb-in and s/pdif-in, both have wrong channel routing...Manually reseting left output as right( and right as left) seems working for me. But I'm wondering if the Dirac DSP is still correct when I did that.

I updated my SHD on Saturday and after rebooting it made a hight loud pink or white noise which broke a tweeter on my ELAC DBR62. I did a DSP and Firmware Reset and the noise continues to be emitted. Every time I turn on the SHD it makes that noise, I have to turn it off several times with its rear key and it stops working normally.

I am having the same issues discussed in this miniDSP forum thread: www.minidsp.com/forum/announcements/2215...1-1-11?start=0#66804 I can connect my computer directly to the DDRC24 via USB cable, and DC will see and control the DDRC24 just fine.I can connect to the miniDSP-Wi-DG via AP and station mode without issue. However, when connecting the DDRC24 to miniDSP-Wi-DG using the same USB cable, DC is unable to see the DDRC24 at all, thus rendering the miniDSP-Wi-DG completely useless.

I really wonder about the common sense of people on here.
Why, why, why, would you have your power amps turned on and connected to your speakers when doing firmware and DSP upgrades?????

My Friend, we do an update every average 6 months, do you think I can remember to turn off the amplifiers with all the daily things I have on my mind? I remember that in previous updates they recommended turning off the amplifiers, but with this new automatic update system I don't remember any messages. I think it would be appropriate to send a very prominent warning message before update start.

@WIDG customers having some issues, a new build was released FYI. Please update to 0.9.6 and hopefully it will solve your issues!
www.minidsp.com/userdownloads/widg-firmware

@SHD customers, a new firmware build for track noise on Volumio is already done. We're just triple testing to make sure nothing else was broken and will issue very soon. Thanks for your patience! If you'd like to beta test that new build, feel free to contact us. We are also seriously investigating the other noise issue from @jump61. We'll need a lot more info to troubleshoot (i.e. no other event) so please send all details to your ticket already opened! We can see from logs that a lot of you already updated their SHD so something else must have being going on here that we never seen.. :-(

As usual, please start a support ticket if any questions/issues = official path of support for us to manage these complex issues. THanks!

Hi,
I previously had issues where I was encountering device not found (2x4 HD) on the New DC build. After several comms with Support, they supplied the new version of the Wi-DG s/w. This seems to have resolved my issues, I can repeatedly open / close the console, & the device is now both visible & I'm able to connect. Also, IoS access to the device continues to work fine.

Many thanks to the team for taking the time & effort to work on my issue, & for providing a prompt solution, it's much appreciated

With this latest device console build and specifically in combination with xmos 1.63 it's making the left speaker generate a MAX volume STATIC noise. I switched speakers and it happened again a few days later to what used to be the right speaker, and now both speakers sound completely hollow and lifeless, I'm afraid the new firmware damaged the drivers.

The metering for Dirac has changed.  It used to show level upstream of the volume control, now it shows level downstream.  This change makes the Dirac metering redundant and kind of useless.

Suggestion: Can we give these meters a better job?  Re-purpose to show the selected input (pre-volume) instead.
