Dear All

Following few weeks of successful beta testing by few knowledgeable members of the miniDSP community, we're excited to release support for Dirac 3.0 for the DDRC-88A/D. Your user downloads section should now have access to all files.

Please make sure to read the new Dirac V3 addendum for multichannel as the process is quite different with new GUI and steps.

Once again thanks a ton to all beta testers!

Have fun

Is the firmware the same for DDRC88D. I don't see any green sticker on mine.

And are the manual instructions applies to 88D also? most of the manual refer to 88A only.

That’s great!

Is this also for the NanoAVR DL?

I have a friend with NanoAVR DL...is there going to be 3.0 support ?

NanoAvr-DL is out of commission. There will not be an update for this product.
But Devteam it would be great if you would have a device for countless of us that we will never upgrade our system to 16 channels. All of us with 5.1 or 7.1 system who can't afford a new receiver with Dirac built in, do we have a reason to hope that minidsp will launch something with Dirac bass management and bass control?

I just did a new sound calibration with Dirac 3.0 today. I used the exact same target curves as with Dirac 1, the new phase correction is subtle but adds another 10% of audio quality perfection to my ears. Sound clarity and definition feels to be up one more notch. I love the new elegant integration of miniDSP into the newer Dirac Live versions.

Thank you so much, DevTeam! Exceptional work!

Hi guys :)

My 88A have been on the V2.24 firmware (unit bought in 2018) and DiracLive1.0 for a long time and I didn't realise there was new firmware and new DiracLive version till today. :(

Today, I installed both the latest 88A BM module software (V2.4) and also the DiracLive 3.0 software. But I did not install the latest MCU firmware (V2.4) as I was not sure if i had to do that and afraid of damaging my 88A unit.

The DiracLive 3.0 software can detect the 88BM, but when I click on the 88BM to connect to it, the DiracLive3.0 software gives an error message - "network failure during access device permissions...". See attached the screenshot of the full error message on the DiracLive 3.0 software.

I've checked my Windows 10 Microphone and Desktop access properties and permission settings on my laptop, and both are correct. I've also power cycled both laptop and 88A but the error message still comes back. The DiracLive 3.0 is launched via the 88BM utility.

So I'm kinda stuck.

Is there something I missed? Is the latest MCU firmware (V2.4) or anything else required to enable Dirac Live 3.0 to work?

I've attached screenshots of the settings and error message here. Thanks in advance for helping to look into this. =)

Reset your DDRC88 to default settings and reboot the power.... then open dirac 3.0 ...be aware 3.0 does not support bass management

Thanks RTS. I tried what u mentioned. Result and Error message is still the same. See attached screenshot for the error message.

I have also updated the MCU firmware to the latest. Now on the 88bm, the firmware shows v2. 26 instead of v2. 24. (see attached screenshot)

I've tried the following:
- reset/ restore to default settings on the 88bm. Reconfigured my input and output settings.
- turned off antivirus and firewall to see if it's a possible cause
- making sure DiracLive3.0 is run from the 88BM software.
- reinstalled DiracLive 3.0

But result and error is the same. (see attached screenshot).

I tried DLCT, and DLCT works fine and it can connect to my 88BM/88A without issues.

Appreciate it anyone or the dev team can advise.
