TOPIC: Re: miniAMP input voltage

miniAMP input voltage 1 year 5 months ago #4248

Hello,

Just got a miniAMP, DSP, DIGI combo and I don't seem to have an exactly right power supply on hand to power it all. The closest I have is an old iBook Power supply. It should produce 24v 1.875a to make the minimum 45w but I just checked it on my multimeter and it's running at 24.9v. Is that extra volt going to fry the miniAMP or trip an over voltage protection? I have NOT hooked it up yet and I dont want any surprises!

If theres a risk I'd rather wait and order the right thing.

Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle,

This power supply will work fine. Just double check your correct wiring with a voltmeter to make sure you have everything connected correctly.

Hoping this info helps
