Congratulations on the release of the new board. Is there a timeline for the remote control support?

Thanks John,

Support for remote control for both the miniDSP 2x8 and 8x8 is indeed the next step. All boards are populated with the IR receiver so we just need to build a firmware and software to make this happen. Though that's still some work..

Stay tuned for release,

Could you please clarify what RC will cover?
- volume control?
- features activation/deactivation (I saw on datasheet master volume, preset recall and mute  )
- other?

In fact my question behind this one is also to understand whenever RC will be compatible with external potentiometer.
Thus is it worth to wait or implement right now motorised potentiometer to benefit from RC volume control and benefit later from other feature?

@ Christian,

The remote control will indeed control:
- Master volume
- Preset recall (i..e one of the four)
- Master mute
and that's about it for now.

The RC will be compatible with an external pot since they apply digital gain control in 2 different areas of the design. It could become a bit goofy I think if you have both running though...
